The Thin Edge of the Wedge

If there is one thing I cannot abide it is intolerance. In any form. I am intolerant of intolerance.

And you people who are lactose intolerant are not excluded. Substitue the word Japanese for lactose and the problem becomes clear. "But Subbie," you may say, "that's different. One is bigotry and the other is simply a description of a physical condition."

Oh, that's what you'd like us to think, isn't it?

Substituting the word 'Japanese' for 'lactose' makes for a diverting half-hour at the grocery store, too.

Substituting the words "wierd", "misinformed" and "neurotic" for "you" also doesn't change the meaning of any sentence.

What an anonymous ass.

Kyknoord,

Haha, yes! Thanks for the comment.

Anonymous,

First, I should say that I thought it was pretty clear that like in just about every other post in this blog, I was making a joke at my own expense.

Secondly, I would have to disagree with you about the grammar: substituting a pronoun for an adjective does change the meaning of any sentence quite substantially.

Accidental Housekeeper,

I'm liking you more and more every day.

I totally can't tolerate the lactose. Not one little bit.

But I thought that anonymous' comment was funny. You are a *little* wierd, no?

Just a little?

Dear Suburby,
Please update so that I can be entertained soberly, and not have to drink myself into a state where I hit "next blog" like an OCD motherfucker.

Love,

OMG.....These spammers need to die.

I can't drink milk, but love Japanese food. Therefore, I choose not to substitute... But I see your point.
